Valerie Jean Harvey, 60, of Osceola, passed away October 19, 2023 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born March 20, 1963 in Keiser to Henry and Melvina Lumpkin Allen. Valerie was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Henry Allen, two sisters Melody Robinson and Freda Allen and one grandchild AyeKenja Mitchell. She is survived by one son Arthur (Fredericka Nelson) Mitchell of San Antonio, TX,  one daughter Shambrica Allen of San Antonio, TX, three brothers Donald (Karen) Allen of Sioux Falls, ND, Melvin (Linda) Allen of Stafford, VA and Clifford Allen of Jonesboro, two sisters Debra (James) Brown of Osceola and Carolyn Williams of Jonesboro, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, her caregiver and very special friend Ruby Hopewell of Luxora, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 1-2 PM  with the funeral at 2 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with Minister Carolyn Williams officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, AR will be in charge of the arrangements.
