Shirley Kay Letson, 82, of Benton, formerly of Joiner, passed away March 31, 2025 at Alcoa Pines in Benton. She was a retired factory worker and of the Pentecostal faith. Shirley was born November 15, 1942 in Wilson to L.K. Hathcock and Katherine Marion Hepler Warhurst. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Hubie Tharp, her second husband Emmett Letson, two brothers Jackie Warhurst and Johnny Warhurst, three sisters Ann Adams, Jean Henderson and Mildred Russell, two great granddaughters Bethany Tansil and Brylee Crews. She is survived by one son Hubie (Shila) Tharp, Jr. of Batesburg, SC, four daughters Cookie Womble and Renee (Harold) Edmonson of Benton, AR, Mary Kay Alice of Heber Springs, and Rechelle (Stacey) Mills of Batesville, two brothers Otto (Linda) Warhurst of Wilson and Dennis Warhurst of Jonesboro, two sisters Janet (Freddie) Hendrix of Osceola and Cathy (Floyd) Baugus of Wilson, 15 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 10-11 with the funeral at 11 AM at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial will be at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola with Bro. Hubie Tharp, Jr. officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, AR is in charge of services.
