Ruth Evelyn Willis, 86, of Fisher passed away October 24, 2021 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was a retired factory worker. Ms. Willis was born January 9, 1935 in Doniphan, MO to Samuel and Annie Barnes Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Willis, Jr., three brothers Joe Smith, Charlie Smith and Luther Smith, two sisters Regina Caffrey and Sarah Slocum. She is survived by three daughters Nancy Jennings and Rebecca Thomas (Dewayne) of Fisher and Melissa Whiteside (Ricky Gibson) of Jonesboro, one brother Clarence Smith of Fisher, one sister Zannie Smith of Lake City, seven grandchildren Jeremy Jennings, Jerica Woodward, Michael Whiteside, Daniel Whiteside, Christopher Whiteside, Amanda Jameson and Jonathan Jameson, sixteen great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with the funeral at 11:00 AM at Open Heaven Christian Church in Fisher. Burial will be at Fisher Cemetery in Fisher with Pastor Joel Martin officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza, AR is in charge.
