Rachel Katherine Young, 84, of Smithville passed away December 23, 2022 at her residence.  She was a factory worker, owned her own restaurant and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  Ms. Young was born January 29, 1938 in Waterloo, AL to John Robert Wood and Lady Jewel Allison.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill Young, one son Eddie Gann Jr., and one daughter Judy Ann Hood.  She is survived by one brother David Wood of Tyronza, five sisters Robbie Smith, Thelma Russell, Clara Nell Greene, Nancy McIntare all of Tyronza, Nadine Greene of Smithville, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren.  Visitation will be Tuesday December 27, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza.  Visitation will also be on Wednesday December 28, 2022 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM with the funeral to follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Annieville, AR.  Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Cemetery in Annieville, AR with Bro. Jerry Clements officiating.  Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza, AR is in charge of arrangements.
