Obituary

Misty Dawn (Cox) Ramirez, 45, of Luxora, Arkansas passed away on May 7, 2026, at UAMS Medical Center surrounded by the love of her family. She fought a hard, courageous fight.

Misty was born on February 13, 1981, to Charlene Manley. From birth, she was a fighter. Misty had a way of lighting up every room she entered and could make anyone laugh with her goofy personality and warm heart. During her teenage years, the man she lovingly considered her "true" daddy, Tommy Ray Burnett, came into her life and became one of the greatest blessings she ever knew.

On October 22, 2005, Misty married her soulmate and best friend, Michael Ramirez, and together they built a beautiful life centered around love, laughter, and family. Above all else, Misty was a mother. She always put the wants and needs of her children before her own and lived every day with a selfless and giving heart. She was a devoted wife, an incredible mother, and the foundation of her family.

Misty was also a passionate advocate for Autism Awareness. She made it her mission to ensure her son Noah always had a voice and support, and everywhere she went, she spoke with compassion, understanding, and fierce love for those touched by autism.

She loved true crime, 80s music, and spending time with her family. She had a soft spot for animals and could never turn away a stray. Misty treasured every moment spent with those she loved most. Misty had recently found out she was expecting her first biological grandbaby, news that filled her heart with overwhelming joy and excitement. Her family finds comfort knowing she will be watching over them, interceding daily for the pregnancy, and cheering them on from heaven every step of the way.

Misty is survived by her loving husband, Michael Ramirez of the home; son Tyler Sims (Alyssa) of Marion; daughters Madison Tucker (Dennis) of Frenchmans Bayou, Jade Ramirez (Chloe) and Kylee Ramirez of the home; and her baby Noah Ramirez, whom she fiercely loved and advocated for every day. She is also survived by her mother, Charlene Burnett of Manila; sisters Tonia Cox of Burdette, Laci Spencer of Manila, and Schyler Hogan of Trumann; brother-in-law Michael Spencer, whom she considered the closest thing to a brother; nephews Tanner Spencer, Chase Spencer, and Camryn Clapp; niece Savannah Thompson; her best friend Paige Taylor; her beloved paw babies Chica and Binx; grand pups Chico, Kirby, and Moose whom she lovingly called "Nana's babies"; and bonus grandchildren Annabelle Tucker, Ival Grace Tucker, Dennis Tucker III, Samantha Tucker, and Charles Tucker.

She was preceded in death by her daddy, Tommy Ray Burnett; her paternal grandparents, LT and Mildred Cox; her paternal uncle, Michael Cox; and her beloved paw baby, Jasper James.

Misty loved life fiercely and fought hard every single day for her husband, children, and family. Her strength, humor, compassion, and unconditional love will forever be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

"And now, I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end, the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance
I could've missed the pain
But I'd had to miss the dance"
The Dance - Garth Brooks
