Melanie Ann Harvey Moss passed away suddenly on September 27th in Memphis, Tennessee.

Melanie was born and raised in Memphis, and spent the vast majority of her life in the Mid South. She was born February 6th, 1963 to Billie Curtner Harvey and Wallace C. Harvey. She attended Oakhaven Baptist Academy, graduating in 1980. Naturally artistic, Melanie then attended Memphis College of Art. She later attended Memphis State University.

Melanie loved interior decorating and, as she put it, she was "a painter of all things". She most recently worked at La-Z-Boy furniture in Sulphur, LA and Memphis. She also was a longtime Sales Associate at various AT&T retail stores.

Melanie was a proud Southern Baptist and was a member of Houston River Baptist Church, Sulphur, LA. She also attended Cross Creek Church, Olive Branch, MS.

She will be sorely missed by countless family members, friends, fellow church members, coworkers and clients. Melanie exuded love and affection for everyone she met; she was a free spirited, loving, non-judgemental soul that everyone loved in return.

Melanie was preceeded in death by her father Wallace, and her stepfather JR Kinsey. She is survived by her husband, Michael Moss of Sulphur, LA, her mother Billie Curtner Kinsey of Olive Branch, MS, a sister Sandi Blann of Olive Branch, MS and her 3 sons: Keith Shaw (Stephanie) of Memphis, Tyler Napier of Nashville and Daniel Napier (Toni) of Olive Branch, MS.

Melanie also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, whom she absolutely adored: Kyndall Shaw, Gabriel Shaw and Parker Napier. They called her Honey.

Finally, Melanie leaves numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, step-children, step-grandchildren, and mothers, sisters and brothers-in-laws who loved Melanie dearly.

A memorial service for Melanie will be held at Getwell Church- 7875 Getwell Rd, Southaven, MS Monday, October 4th at 12pm. The family will receive friends at 10:00am. After the memorial service, the family and close friends will proceed to Wilson Funeral Home, Tyronza, AR for a private viewing. Melanie's memorial service will conclude with a graveside service at Marked Tree Cemetery at 3:00pm.
