John Fairley Sexton, age 58, passed away at his home in Bartlett, Tennessee, on Monday, June 19th, 2023. He was born February 27, 1965 in Osceola, Arkansas, to James Daymon Sexton Sr. and Lillian Alice McFatridge Sexton. John was a real estate agent in his earlier years and a truck driver in later years.

John had a deep love for his family, especially his mother Lillian, whom he cared for all his life. He was also very close to his brother Jay Sexton. John was a very kindhearted Christian man who loved family, music, and getting together with friends. John had 8 cats, which were very dear to him, and cared for stray cats every day. John came from a musically inclined family and had a gifted voice himself. The brothers would join their father in singing karaoke as the three of them harmonized beautifully together.

John is survived by his mother, Lillian Sexton; one son: John Rodgers Sexton; one grandson: Lane Wilson; one brother: James D. Sexton Jr. (Cathie); one nephew: Justin Sexton; two great nephews: Jordan Sexton and Aiden Sexton; beloved aunts: Mary Spencer and Carolyn McFatridge; uncle: Charlie Spencer; several cousins; a very god friend: Margaret Cox; and many other close friends.

Preceding John in death were his father: James Daymon Sexton Sr.; his grandparents: Mahlon and Beth McFatridge, Bessy Suggs, and Pete Sexton; and one uncle: Mickey McFatridge.
