John Henry Bradford, Sr. of Sherwood, AR, formerly of Blytheville, AR, was born April 12, 1947, in Burdette, AR to the late Clarence Sr. and Mary Bradford.  John departed this life on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the age of 78.  John was educated at Harrison High School.  He later met and married the love of his life, Rosetta Matthews, and had three sons. He and his family relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he spent many years before moving back to Blytheville in the 1990s.  He was a handyman that could do just about anything from carpentry to electrical. He enjoyed listening to music and hanging out with his family and friends until his health declined.

John was preceded in death by his parents, his lovely wife Rosetta Bradford, son: John Henry Bradford, Jr., brothers: Billy Bradford, Clarence Bradford, Jr., Grady Bradford, Larry Bradford, and Robert Bradford; sisters: Flossie Mathis, Rosemary Coleman, Lenora Dawson, Josephine Brown, Jeanette Smith and Luetta Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memory: sons, Gary Bradford and Kenneth Matthews, both of Sherwood, AR; three grandchildren, Ayana Bradford, Devon Matthews, and Katryn Matthews; one brother, Bobby Bradford (Carol) of Lansing, MI, and one sister, Ann Bradford of Little Elm, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be on Saturday April 11, 2026, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville, Arkansas at 10am with the funeral following at 11 am. Burial will be at Memory Gardens in Blytheville, Arkansas. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
