John Wesley Battles Jr, 67, of Blytheville, passed away July 10, 2025, at his home. Mr. Battles was a veteran of the U.S Army, a contractor, and owner of P&J Foodmart. Mr. Battles was born October 3, 1957, to John Battles Sr. and Dorothy Knowles. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert Earl Battles, and Bruce Ramsey. Two sisters Maxcine Davis and April Hill. Mr. Battles is survived by his wife Patricia Payne Battles of the home, one son Dominique Battles of Hot Springs, Arkansas: two daughters Trina (Darnell) Mayfield of Cairo, Illinois and Schnell (Cordarrel) Bell of Gosnell, Arkansas. Three brothers; Walter (Angel) Battles of Nashville, Tennessee, Dewayne Ramsey of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Arlester Hill of Blytheville, Arkansas; Three sisters; Rose Taylor of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Linda (Ricky) Moore of Blytheville, Arkansas, and Brenda (Earnest) Dixon of Blytheville, Arkansas, five Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren. Visitation will be at the Eternal Salvation Church in Blytheville, Arkansas on Saturday July 19, 2025, 1-2pm with the funeral following at 2pm with Bishop John Mayberry officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens.
