Joe Ed Callins, 98, of Marked Tree, AR passed away June 21 2023 at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. He was born March 18, 1925 in Tennessee to John and Leona Elizabeth Butler Callins. Mr. Callins was a retired farmer, a retired carpenter and of the Pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Juanita King Callins, one son Benny Joe Callins, one daughter Rita Gail Johnson, four brothers, six sisters, three grandchildren Shannon Southern, James Johnson and Angela McEwen. He is survived by his beloved companion Ruth Baney of Marked Tree, AR, one son Ronnie Coats of Marked Tree, AR, two daughters Pam Southern of Marion, AR and Jane Lambert of Michie, TN, one sister Emma Nell Callins of Tennessee, 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 9-10AM with the funeral at 10AM at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza, AR. Burial will be at Tyronza Cemetery in Tyronza, AR with Bro. Gary Andrews officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza, AR will be in charge of the services.
