Jesse Leon Maxwell, 81, of Earle passed away March 5, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.  He was a member of the United States Air Force and was stationed in Guam, Japan and Jacksonville, AR.  He retired from the University of Arkansas Experiment Station in Clarkedale, AR.  Mr. Maxwell was born July 15, 1940 in Elaine to B.H. and Cornell McGonagill Maxwell.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Paul Maxwell, four brothers Billy, John, James and  Lawrence Maxwell, two sisters Blanche Jenkins and Marsha Selby.  He is survived by his wife Margie Maxwell of Earle, one son Dean Maxwell of Osceola, one daughter Tracy Maxwell of Earle, one brother Dickey Maxwell of Crestview, FL, one sister Betty Dimeglio of Memphis, TN, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  Visitation will be Wednesday March 9, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with the funeral to follow at 11:00 AM at Barton Chapel Baptist Church in Earle.  Burial will be at Gibson Bayou Cemetery in Earle, AR with Bro. Kirk Martin officiating.  Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza, AR is in charge of arrangements.
