Janice Elaine Barker

Janice Elaine Barker, a cherished lifelong resident of Mississippi County, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, in Manila, AR. Born on January 1, 1952, in Osceola, AR, Janice devoted her life to her family and her community, embodying the strength and warmth for which she will long be remembered.

Janice was a high school graduate who dedicated herself as a homemaker, nurturing her family with unwavering love and care. She lived her life grounded in the Baptist faith, finding comfort and guidance through her spiritual beliefs.

She is survived by her beloved son, Henry Warren of Mississippi County; her two devoted daughters, Cheryl Warren (Jackie Foster) of Manila, AR, and Rosemary Sullivan (Sean) of Wichita Falls, TX. Janice’s loving bond extended to her brother, Steven Berry (Amanda) and sister Sallie Sheldon both of Blytheville, AR, who stood by her side through life's journey. She was also a proud grandmother to Kaitlyn Hopper, Cameron Hopper, and Ronnie Williamson III, and the joy of three great-grandchildren.

Janice was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Marvin and Mary Wilson; two brothers Marvin Everett and Willie George, her devoted husband, Norman Barker; her partner, Charles Griffin; her grandchild, Nikki Williamson; and her twin brother, James Wilson.

The family invites friends and loved ones to pay their respects during a visitation at Wilson Funeral Home-Osceola, located at 1323 West Keiser St., Osceola, AR 72370, on May 27, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held the following day, May 28, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the same location. Interment will follow at Eastside Cemetery, 704 K St., Martin, TN 38237, at 2:00 p.m.

Janice Elaine Barker’s legacy is one of steadfast devotion to her family, a deep connection to her community, and a life lived with grace and dignity. Her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
