James Clifton Cannon, Sr., 52, of Jonesboro, passed away March 19, 2025 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was a construction worker and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Cannon was born January 30, 1973 in Osceola to Charles Gordon, Sr. and Mary Cannon Palmer. He is preceded in death by his mother and one brother Charles Cannon. He is survived by his father Charles Gordon, Sr. of Luxora, his fiancee Valarie Thurman of Jonesboro, four sons James Cannon, Jr. of Osceola, LaKeevan Whedon, Jace Cannon and Rylan Cannon of Columbus, IN, three daughters Breosha Marshall, Laquisha Cannon and Karisma Cannon of Jonesboro, seven brothers Kevin Gordon of Blytheville, Freddrick Lewis, Calvin Harris and Anthony Harris of Osceola, Warren Gordon, Terry Harris and Prince Gibson of Jonesboro, nine sisters Helen Nelms of Blytheville, Melissa Gordon, Sophie Jackson, Kalisha Gibson and Princess Reese (Corey) of Osceola, Erica Gordon Bellus (Smitty) of Woodridge, IL, Rhonda Clifton (Jerome) and Pamela Cannon of Jonesboro and Talha Davis (Charles) of Trumann and 10 grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 1-2 with the funeral following at 2 PM at Wilson FUneral Home in Osceola. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with Pastor Kevin Haymon officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, AR is in charge of the services.
