Hattie Shields passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at the age of 85. She was born on October 5, 1940, in Hermadale, MO to Benjamen Hampton and Izora Brook Hampton. Hattie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Odell Shields, one son, Odell Shields Jr., four brothers, Benjamen Hampton Jr., Oscar D. Hampton, Henry Hampton and Herman Hampton, and one sister Vannie Hampton. Hattie is survived by her son Ricky Shields of Denver, CO, three daughters, Atlanta Gulledge of Denver, CO, Gloria Rogers of Blytheville, AR and Myrtle Beach, SC, Judy McGinster of West Memphis, AR, twelve grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 10:00a.m. at New Mt. Olive MB Church in Blytheville, Arkansas. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. until service time at New Mt. Olive MB Church in Blytheville, Arkansas. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville, Arkansas
