Georgia Mae Scott, 94, of Marked Tree, passed away March 18, 2025 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was retired from Traveleer Motel and of the Baptist faith. Ms. Scott was born January 16, 1931 in Slayden, MS to Albert and Mary Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earnest Scott, four brothers Person Anderson, Steve Anderson, Albert Anderson and Willie Stephen, two sisters Rosie Lee Fox and Mary Louise Dennis. She is survived by one daughter Clara Willis of Detroit, MI, an adopted daughter Terri Jean of Atlanta, GA, two grandchildren Shunda Willis and Dewey Scott of Detroit, MI. Visitation is Friday, April 4, 2025 from 5-7 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. The funeral service will be Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 10 AM at Anderson Chapel Baptist Church in Marked Tree. Burial is at Riverview Cemetery in Marked Tree with Pastor Willie Brown officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
