We are sad to announce the passing of Daniel Kahalley George, age 78, of Memphis, TN, who passed away at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN on December 9, 2023. Danny was surrounded by his loved ones when he passed. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Olivia George and his son Daniel Joseph "Joey" George. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Candace Schenk George, his son Walter Louis George, his brother Louis George, Jr. of Danville, CA, his sister Shirley Hamra of Malden, MO, and many cousins and friends. He was born September 10, 1945 in Memphis, TN. He graduated from Osceola High School in 1963 and attended Arkansas State University. From a young age, Danny knew what he wanted to do. Working at his father's automobile dealership as a child, Danny sold his first car at the age of 11. He went on to take over his family's car dealership, selling cars for most of his life, from his childhood until the age of 75. Danny had tremendous success in business over the years. His high school friends were very important to him, and he was excited to attend the class reunion held in September of 2023 for the classes of 1963 and 1964. A visitation will be held January 13, 2024 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Calvary Episcopal Church in Osceola, AR. A service will follow at 1 PM.
